Vacation In Outer Banks. Where Do You Find That "Perfect"Spot?
If you have never been to the Outer Banks, you are in for a great vacation. We have been going for many years. It's like a second home now.
This is Bodie Island Lighthouse. Don't miss going to see it, as well as all of the other Lighthouses.
They have thousands of rental homes, and quite a few hotels. The rentals occupy every corner of the Outer Banks, and many are beautiful.
There is also great fishing, with many areas to fish in, (had a blue to bite my finger once).
They have many gift shops, fast food, and nice restaurants.
If you are going to take a vacation, and have not been to the Outer Banks, you are in for a treat.
This is the house"Serendipity"located in Rodanthe.
It is the house that was used in "Nights In Rodanthe" staring Richard Gere and Diane Lane. It is located about twenty five miles south of Nags Head.
No matter what part of OBX you decide to stay at, you won't be dissappointed.There is something for every one, no matter what you might like to do, or what age you may be.
Last year I decided to find a house to rent in July, and we were going in August,(don't laugh)just old age.
You know what happened, never did find one, we rented a hotel. Always start looking early.
(Let me give you an example.
We were going to take a trip to Pigeon Forge Tenn (don't tell anyone),and my Daughter decided to go through my web site to find a hotel to stay at.
There are twenty five or so Outer Banks hotels. When she went to Pigeon Forge, there was over a hundred, just mind bogging, how do you choose one.
She picked out our hotel, next to Dollywood. They had rooms on Friday, but she waited until Saturday, and they were all booked.

We have walked the beaches, fished off the piers, surf fished, walked the streets of Ocracoke, been in storms, got sun burns, shopped in every store in Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, Manteo,and "on and on", saw the aquarium (every year) took rides in go carts, and loved every minute of it.
And don't forget the beaches.You may see some of the ponys.
You can mingle in crowds of people, or
you can go past Oregon Inlet, and walk for miles on the beach, and see no one.
You can sun, fish, look for sea shells, swim and enjoy the peace and quite.
This is a place that has been attracting a million or so people, year after year. "To sum this up"
It's just a great place to vacation.
