Anchorage Inn Ocracoke Will Exceed All Of Your Expectations.

Within a few minutes after you drive off of the ferry,you will go by Ocracoke,s Pony Pens.Stop to see if you can see the wild ponys.Many years ago there were as many as a 1000 wild ponies that roamed the sand dunes.Now there are maybe two dozen that live at the Ocracoke Pony Pens,where the National Park service looks after them.Two of the ponys are below.

The Inn has 35 motel-style rooms.Anchorage Inn Ocracoke is a island favorite,mainly because of its good-sized,comfortably furnished rooms.If you vacation at the Inn the fourth-floor rooms with balconies are a favorite because of the views.

The Inn has a marina,a fishing center,recreational amenities,an outdoor cafe,and gift shops nearby.

It is a five story brick building with white trim,and has elevator access to each floor,the only one in Ocracoke.

Each of the rooms has a king size bed or two double beds,full bath,direct-dial phone,cable TV with Showtime and Cinemax.

They also have wheelchair-accessible rooms, and some rooms that allow Pets,for $20 more.And for me(my wife says that is all I think about)one of the best parts is they have a complimentary continental breakfast.

At Anchorage Inn Ocracoke,they also operate a dockside cafe adjacent to its swimming pool,at the marina.They also have grills and picnic tables that they have placed for you if you want to grill out.

A place that will let you bring your pet, a free breakfast,and a beautiful view with shops in walking distance,would make a great place to take your vacation.To the bottom is the Traversier Ferry,taking a group of people over to Ocracoke.And the Coffee Company,great place to buy coffee.
