If you vacation on the southern end,you will have 55 miles of Cape Lookout National Seashore,which is isolated,and used mostly for fishing,birdwatching,shelling(we like to look for them),primitive camping,and scientfic research. This area is toward Hatteras and Ocracoke.If you vacation there, you would have many miles of undeveloped shoreline on the Atlantic Coast.And there are also many beautiful rentals there.
