Let's Find A Few Outer Banks House Rentals,And Some Attractions That The Outer Banks Has To Offer You.

outer banks house rentals
Above is one of thousands of Outer Banks house rentals. This is actually a church in Ocracoke, that has been converted in to a house rental. It would be a pretty neat place to stay, wouldn't it?

The Outer Banks, has over 13,000 rental houses. These guys can find you exactly what you are looking for. They have the size, location, and the price you are looking for in a rental home.

Above left is a big rental house in Corolla, that would hold twenty people or more, and the one on the right,is in Nags head, and would be perfect for a small family.

These twenty windswept barrier islands called the Outer Banks, does not,I repeat(does not)attract people seeking Myrtle Beach commercialism or Hilton Head pampering.

Do you know what brings more than a million visitors each year? You already know don't you?It is the uncrowded beaches, seaside villages, many historic sites,"900" square milles of bays, and marshes to explore, excellent fishing, bird watching, and the Easts Coast's biggest dunes.

They have the best conditions for such things as surfing, wreck diving, hang gliding, and wind surfing.

After you find one of the Outer Banks house rentals, and get settled in,there are beaches and marshes, oceanfront settlements, and many scenic attractions, and recreation sites to explore.

Above is a charter boat with their catch. We go to the Organ Inlet sometimes to see them come in at around four each day,and the picture on the right,is the beach at Nags Head.

We have vacationed here for many years, and never run out of places to go,and sites to see.

Of course summer visits predominate. Many vacationers head for rental condos, and houses in small beachfront communities at Corolla,Duck, and Kitty Hawk. Many more end up in Nags Head,or Kill Devil Hills. They are busier towns that are adding more Outer Banks house rentals, hotels, seafood houses, and kite shops.

But as I pointed out earlier the Outer Banks is quiet, and not so crowded as its sister,Myrtle Beach.

About twenty of my family, went to Myrtle Beach in May.The women were going to shop, and the men were going to Darlington to the race.My wife and I was riding on the,I suppose the beach road, and I made the comment to her that there were more hotels in one mile than all of the Outer Banks(about 25 or so.)I knew the ocean was behind the hotels, but you could not see the ocean.Give me the quiet Outer Banks.

Outer Banks house rentals are about like the attractions on the Outer Banks, many to choose from. While many people visit heritage attractions, especially the Wright Brothers National Memorial at Kitty Hawk, and the old Lifesaving Stations, and Lighthouses, the primary appeal of the Outer Banks is the"beaches".

Outer Banks beaches are great. They are wide, clean, and great for swimming, fishing, surfing, kayaking, and kite flying. You always see kites somewhere on the beach, flying in the sky.

Below is the Currituck Lighthouse in Corolla, and a kite, flying in the sky.Always something to do.If you are there on the 4th of July, sit on the beach, and watch the fire works. They are spectacular.

If you vacation in one of the Outer Banks house rentals on the North end toward Corolla, you will be in the two National Seashores, whose protected areas are the pride of the Outer Banks.

If you vacation on the southern end,you will have 55 miles of Cape Lookout National Seashore, which is isolated, and used mostly for fishing, birdwatching, shelling(we like to look for them),primitive camping, and scientfic research.

This area is toward Hatteras and Ocracoke. If you vacation there, you would have many miles of undeveloped shoreline on the Atlantic Coast. And there are also many beautiful rentals there.

If you vacation south of Nags Head, you can see the wild ponys in Ocracoke, the historic Chicamacomico Lifesaving Station, and three Lighthouses. You just never run out of sites to see.

Another link below will give you a site that you can (1)Pick your Outer Banks house rentals, houses,or condos.

(2)Find your price range.

(3)Check to see if the one you pick is avalible.

Please look, and book, four or five months early,if you plan on coming in May,June,July,August.Don't be left out on finding your spot on the beach.

And may I add, that if this is your first trip, this is a easy beach to travel. The ocean is always on one side, and the sound is on the other, most of the time. This is one beach that I don't think you would even need a GPS.

I will close with this. Our first vacation to the Outer Banks was many years ago. Before the internet, before the cell phone. Can you imagine that,I don't know how we survived. My wife, daughter, and I drove down on the 4th of July(You know where I am going don't you?)Well,we drove down the beach road, and proceeded to pull over at every hotel, and motel we came to.

No Vacancys was all we saw. After about five miles,we were getting frantic. Then we found a place that had a room.We could have hugged that man(my wife probably did). That is the reason I preach to book early.Good luck on finding your Outer Banks house rentals.
