Then you are a step ahead.If you have not been before (you will love it), then you will have to choose a location, the size house you want,if you want to look at the ocean behind your rental, and whatever else that comes to mind. You are young, so you can remember all that you want in a Outer Banks Rental, but I make a list, then I won't forget what to e-mail, and ask about.
With over 13,000 rentals to choose from in Outer Banks, it can be hard to find the one for you.
You can choose from a small rental such as the one here in Ocracoke, or from a much bigger one like at the top of the page. If you are just staying with your immediate family, you may want a small house.
We have friends that go with lots of their family members, and they rent much bigger houses that can accommodate twenty or so.
As you ride down the beach road you will see rental signs everywhere. Many houses are private owned. They will have, by owner, on them. If you see one that you would want for next year, by all means call, and line it up.
It takes quite a few real estate agents to manage that many listings, and all of the people that vacation during the summer months.

Carolina Designs Reality is another that you can find Outer Banks rentals at.
They manage weekly rentals, ranging from one bedroom condos, to eight bedroom estates, with linens included. Their properties are primarily from Corolla to Southern Shores and Nags Head.
Many of their homes have pools and allow pets, and most offer wireless. Their toll free number is(800-368-3825).
I am going to write down one more, so as not to have you reading to long. You will be able to find them and many more, quickly and easly.
The third one is Twiddy& Company. They manage Outer Banks Rentals from Carova to Southern Shores, and offer several specialty properties that accommodate weddings, corporate retreats, and other special functions.
A special events coordinator can even be recommended. Also a number of cottages allow pets, and many include private pools and spas.
Their number is (800-489-4339). This is, once again, just a few real estate companys.

They have 3400 homes listed. You can find an individual home to view, in any part of the Outer Banks, but I never found one in Ocracoke.
They have about one fourth of all the rentals listed. And it a easy site to navigate around in. The next site is
GiantSeek
They have every rental agency on Outer Banks rentals listed.
There are quite a few listed for certain areas such as Nags Head, Ocracoke, Corolla and many more.
Now remember the first site, you can find hundreds of homes to look at in each area of the Outer Banks (didn,t find any in Ocracoke).
The second site has the real estate companys listed, and they are both easy to search. I hope some of the information in here helps you.
